Google Play Games: Solutions for Account Sync Issues


When game history and progress are already saved in a Google account on the cloud, there are three options to sync your data:

Option 1 - Google Login with Another Account

  1. Exit the game and log in to Google with another account.
  2. Return to the game.
  3. Go to the Settings screen.
  4. Scroll up to "Google Play Games" and click "Sign in with Google".


Option 2 - Recover Your Cloud Progress

  1. In the game, go to the Settings screen.
  2. Scroll up to "Google Play Games" and click "Sign in with Google".
  3. When the game presents two save options, choose the one that has progress saved in the cloud.
  4. IMPORTANT: In this operation, you will lose your progress saved on the device.


Option 3 - Erase Your Cloud Progress and Save the Current Progress

  1. Open the game on another device.
  2. Go to the Settings screen.
  3. Scroll up to "Google Play Games" and click "Sign in with Google".
  4. When the game presents two save options, choose the one that has progress saved in the cloud.
  5. Return to the Settings screen.
  6. Scroll up to the bottom and click "Manage Data".
  7. In the Manage Data screen, scroll up to the bottom and click "Erase Personal Data".
  8. On the next screen, confirm by clicking "Erase".
  9. On the final confirmation screen, click "Erase" again.
  10. On the "Data Deleted" screen, click "Ok" to restart the game.
  11. Return to the device where you want to save your new progress in the cloud.
  12. Go to the Settings screen.
  13. Scroll up to "Google Play Games" and click "Sign in with Google".
